Carestream Dental Careers

Global Product Manager

Atlanta, Georgia
Product Management

Job Description

Company History:

Carestream Dental's roots date back to 1896, when the world's first bitewing image was taken. Later, in 1919, the first modern dental X-ray film was introduced by the Eastman Kodak Company. Then in 1963, Trophy introduced its first dental X-ray unit. For the next few decades, these Carestream Dental predecessors -- Kodak and Trophy -- continued to innovate in dental imaging, introducing extraoral radiographic film, digital radiography sensors and systems, and more.

As technology developed, software was created to manage practices more efficiently. In 1982, OrthoTrac was introduced as the first Orthodontic Dental Practice Management Software and one year later SoftDent was installed for its first customer. In 1993, PracticeWorks Systems, LLC was formed and eventually acquired SoftDent, OrthoTrac and others to become what is known today as Carestream Dental.

Today, the company philosophy is based on the Carestream Dental Factor, which consists of three brand pillars -- diagnostic excellence, workflow integration and humanized technology. This means the company does not develop technology for technology's sake, but designs products that drive better clinical outcomes for practices and their patients based on practice needs and workflows.
