Role and responsibilities

This position is responsible for providing day to day IT Desktop Services support within a single location or group of locations. IT Service Desk and Remote Desktop Support will be provided through the outsourced agreement for most locations. Break-fix, Level-2 problems for PCs, laptops, peripherals, infrastructure and the remaining IT Desktop support requirements will be provided by the IT Desktop Services Specialists.

This position is execution focused and requires strong technical skills. It is also responsible for the local support activities for Servers and Networking equipment as per guidance from remote Level 2 teams.



Service Delivery

  • Ensure SLAs are achieved and users expectations are met or exceeded
  • Ensure that systems, processes and methodologies are followed to ensure effective monitoring, control and support of IT Service Delivery
  • Provide day to day IT Desktop Services support and ensure services are delivered on-time, on budget and with quality
  • Work in partnership with internal IT support teams and outsourced service providers to ensure the user experiences a "single face of IT "
  • Identify areas for process, tool or cost improvement
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT User & Desktop Support issues not able to be resolved by Service Desk.
  • Ensure CSD site infrastructure (LAN, Printers, File & Print Servers) is maintained in accordance with IT best practice.

Deliver IT support in timely and effective manner in accordance with agreed Service Levels.
